Android 4.1.2 released and merged into CM10

The Android updates have been very quick and easy. The concept of this new open source operating system by Google emerged only a few years back. Since then, it has been improved and enhanced in every aspect. The latest upgrade to the new Android Jelly bean is out now. Jean-Baptiste Queru and the crew responsible for the AOSP released the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update.

Recently, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was announced for Nexus 7. And, now OTA is available for upgrading the OS on Nexus 7. Nexus 7, in specific, has received a default launcher upgrade which is now landscape capable. In all the other devices, a new feature known as one-touch notification center will be available. This new feature is very cool and useful. The one-touch notification center will allow the users to access and modify ringtones and wallpapers on the go.

It is not that device users other than Nexus 7 will have to keep waiting for OTA for their Android phones. Now, Android 4.1.2 will be incorporated by CyanogenMod 10 nightlies. This is one of the quickest merges that has ever been made. So, all the users who want to upgrade to the new Android 4.1.2 version should look for the latest CyanogenMod 10 nightlies for their device.
